IMDEA Energy is opening a Senior Research Assistant position for the High-Temperature Processes Unit looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on automatization via artificial intelligence methods and advanced monitoring of high-concentration solar thermal technologies (central receiver systems)

Tasks Description:.

• Development and testing high-accuracy high-precision aiming point strategy generation methods based on the use of artificial intelligence methods.
• Design, development and testing in relevant environment of new sensors and devices for high solar radiation flux and temperature monitoring in high-temperature environments.
• Coordinate scientific and technical activities making use of the experimental facilities (high-flux solar simulators and solar tower)
• Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals.
• Supervision of undergraduate and graduate staff working in the R&D unit
• Participation in project proposals preparation and management national and international research projects.

Compulsory Requirements

• Ph.D. degree in mechatronics, mechanical, energy engineering or similar.
• Demonstrated experience on experimental research on concentrating solar thermal technologies.
